Randy James Wright

Investment Advisor

I have been in the investment & insurance business since October 1, 1994. With all the changes in the investment/insurance industry, I find I am enjoying myself more than ever, at a time when many advisors are leaving the industry. The reason for that is simple; the best part of my work day is spent talking with my clients. They are the reason my business exists and it is an honour to be able to help them achieve their financial goals and dreams.

Touching base with my clients a minimum of several times per year gives them a comfort level knowing that I’ve "got their backs" no matter what is happening globally or in their own lives. I work closely with individuals, couples, families, retirees and also with small and medium sized businesses. Before I take on any new clients I meet with them a few times to see if they are a good fit both from a personality and also from a methodology standpoint. This makes for a low key meeting where people feel comfortable asking all the questions they need to ask without any expectation of commitment.

The mission of Success Strategies Financial is a highly focused one. I help people and companies determine five critical areas in their investment/insurance planning.

Where are they financially?

Where do they need to be?

How can they get there?

How can they stay at the new level?

How can they grow from the new level achieved?

I believe that people and businesses can achieve a particular level of wealth over time and my experience over the past 21 years tells me that they more often than not need a financial coach to help get to the "top of their game"...and to stay there! I have seen many examples of people/companies reaching a high level of wealth only to lose half of it or more due to the many mistakes that are easy to make if you do not know "how to play the game".

Planning your financial future is all about you, your family and/or your business. It really is all about you! The planning process should be dynamic, exciting and intriguing! If it isn’t, you need to have an investment/insurance specialist to coach you, to give you a broader perspective, to give you the context you need to determine where you need to be.

The planning process is really a "living, breathing entity" that evolves and changes as you do. The world is a busy, fast changing place and your own world moves even faster. If you do not have a simple, efficient and effective life/wealth plan, you will likely have trouble setting realistic and achievable goals, let alone achieving them. The speed at which things happen in our lives is growing ever faster making it imperative that you find a good coach, just like so many actors, athletes, businessmen and people from all walks of life.

My educational experience includes everything from studying business and psychology at McGill University and University of Calgary, to studying with one of the top business and personal coaches, Anthony Robbins in his immersion format of 20 days/320 hours at his "University", to obtaining my Chartered Investment Manager designation, along with my ongoing studies with several of the best known, most successful money managers in the U.S. such as Hilary Kramer, Louis Navellier, David Gardner, Alexander Green, Marc Lichtenfeld and Keith Fitzgerald.

It is my belief that life experience is one of the essential elements for an investment/insurance specialist. Once you have been around for many years, you see the mistakes that people keep repeating over time. For example, when you have helped 40-50 people retire over a number of years, you start to see the patterns that emerge in the way people prepare for retirement and as they live through retirement and what happens along the way. It is the same with people that invest in stocks or mutual funds or any other financial security. You see the patterns over time with the way the economies of the world interact and how that affects the stock markets and how that in turn affects investors and their decisions. There is no substitute for life experience when you are working with people and their money.

Supporting the communities within which we work

At IPC, we built IPC Cares to bring together the various efforts we make towards enhancing the communities within which we operate. By adopting causes that are close to our hearts, we keep ourselves committed and accountable.

Last year alone, as a company, we supported the aid efforts on the Fort McMurray fires, palliative care through The Healing Cycle Foundation and women and children through The Salvation Army.

Perhaps the most significant effort we undertake, and one that we believe is representative of the kind of work that inspires and keeps us committed to our CSR efforts, is the community development project in Honduras with The Carpenteros & Friends. Last year’s project involved a group of IPC staff and Advisors volunteering their time and energy on the ground. Very little is as inspiring and rewarding as living the lives of the people you’re helping, and every one of the people who took the journey came back a changed person, even more determined to stay committed to making a difference in the world!

We also made countless small but significant contributions of our time and resources within our communities through many grassroots charities we believe in, and the ripple effect of their efforts are always rewarding.
